Vitamin C fortifies our immune system, reducing the severity and duration of common colds. Acting as a powerful antioxidant, it combats the damaging effects of free radicals, aiding in tissue repair and curbing damage from inflammation and oxidation.
The role of Vitamin C is not just limited to these benefits. It crucially regulates collagen production – a major component found in skin, bones, cartilage, teeth, muscles, and the walls of blood vessels. This fosters healthy, youthful skin, sturdy bones, and bolsters cardiovascular health. Research supports that higher Vitamin C levels are linked to lower risks of hypertension, heart diseases, and stroke.
